Hello! I’m Sarah, a 24-year-old EFL teacher from Devon, living near Cardiff.

I began studying French at school at the age of 6 and thanks to one very inspirational teacher, I discovered my love for language and culture. So since leaving school, I’ve continued studying online towards a BA Honours Degree in Language Studies with French and Spanish.

At 17, I moved to France to be an au pair which led me to discover my passion for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. After returning to the UK and qualifying, I worked for several different organizations teaching online, one-to-one and group EFL lessons to children and adults from all over the world. However, the needs of each individual student weren’t being accommodated and I was frustrated with the price the companies were charging my students.

With 3 years of TEFL experience, experience of learning a foreign language and experience of living in a foreign country, I understand the importance of fun and interesting lessons, the value of an enthusiastic and friendly teacher and the challenges that come with moving to a different country, whether that’s accessing education, employment, leisure opportunities, healthcare, emotional support, practical support or building new relationships.

I’m passionate about helping integrate asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants to the UK into society because I believe in a multicultural society. That’s why I’m on a mission to break language barriers by helping children and adults from all over the world to improve their English. I specialise in Teaching English as a Foreign Language online and one-to-one to asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants, offering affordable lessons tailored to each individual student and taught using interactive and freely-accessible learning resources.
